Huna Massage Origins
Aloha is the word for unconditional universal love.
Hawaiians believe everything in nature is sacred & connected through the spirit of Aloha & is responding to our life-affirming thoughts & actions. Living through the Grace of Aloha nourishes us with healing & wholeness in life.
Huna bodywork was performed in the healing temples by Kahuna priests, who were revered as keepers of the esoteric knowledge of life – in the modern world, this is now called Huna Wisdom. These sacred & formal rituals were given primarily as ‘rites of passage’ to key members of the community & young adults, to develop a strong sense of social & family responsibility with expanded awareness & spiritual empowerment.
This tradition of Hawaiian bodywork was passed down to Mette Sorensen from Serge Kahili King, Papa K, Aunty Mahilani, Nana Kialoha and various other Hawaiian teachers.
This massage technique is now taught around the world. We acknowledge the Hawaiian lineage from which it comes & are deeply grateful for the generosity of the people of Hawaii who chose to share & spreading this ancient healing art around the world.

Thrive Session
A Thrive Session is a wellbeing coaching immersion. 95% of our lives are lived from the subconscious patterning we accumulated from our past experiences. Some of it is useful & some of it is not. If you experience out-dated thoughtware (beliefs, thinking & judgements) that no longer empower you to thrive in your life, there are ways to shift them from the level of the subconscious. I companion you to make new decisions, access new possibilities & create lasting changes for your life!
Using tools from Transpersonal Counselling, Possibility Management & Deep Ecology, I guide you into your body's innate wisdom. Each of these methods work with accessing deeper states of consciousness, through the specific mental, emotional, spiritual & physical experiences currently in your life.
These modalities work from a person-centred perspective, meaning that your intuitive wisdom guides the direction of your choices in the session. Where relevant, the modalities incorporate practices that enhance our belonging to the ecosystems of life on this living organism we call Earth. These wholistic modalities accept ways of being or functioning which are beyond the normal, in the realm of transcendent or mystical experiences, enlightenment & access to higher wisdom. They are concerned less with making us “normal” & more with developing our fullest potential as human beings. Crisis, illness & difficulty are placed within this larger context of growth & initiation. Our troubles & trials are accepted as integral parts of the process of becoming.
Please allow 60-90min for a session. The session will often run for 60min, however if you need longer for an emotional healing or deeper process the extra time is available for the same price.

Aurora has been practicing the ancient art of Huna Bodywork for over 9 years. She acquired her skill from Mette’s Institute at High Spirits in Kin Kin QLD, completing Levels 1-7 in Ka Huna Massage. She brings her skills in Integral & somatic therapy to the Thrive Sessions, tapping into the subconscious wisdom held within our intuitive subconscious beings.
